Zomig Nasal Spray is a new fast-acting migraine treatment for adults. In some patients, it provides pain relief starting from just 15 minutes so you’ll feel better, fast.

Zomig belongs to a class of medicines called triptans, which have been developed specifically for the treatment of migraines. However, Zomig is the first triptan available in New Zealand as a nasal spray.

Dosage

Adults 18 to 65 years -

Remove the protective cap. Insert the nasal spray into one nostril while blocking the other. After tilting your head back slightly, squeeze the device together between your thumb and fingers. As you do this, breathe in gently.

Warnings

Only use if you are certain that you have a migraine. Use strictly as directed. Do not use for any other purposes unless directed by your doctor. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms get worse or are no better within a few hours. Do not use more than one nasal spray in 24 hours.

DO NOT USE - if you have allergies to sulphonamides, taken other medicines to treat your migraine, Heart problems including irregular heartbeat, Vascular problems including stroke, clot or high blood pressure.
