Blackmores Sustained Release B Plus C Tablets 62
Blackmores Sustained Release B Plus C may be beneficial in reducing the short term effects of a hangover or over-indulgence in food.
Product Info
Blackmores high potency sustained release nutritional supplements supply their nutrients gradually over several hours
Blackmores Sustained Release B Plus C helps deliver nutrients which may be depleted by excessive alcohol consumption and smoking.
Over-indulgence in alcohol increases the body's requirements for many nutrients, including the B group vitamins, particularly vitamin B1.
Vitamin C is also needed in increased quantities by regular drinkers, as this antioxidant nutrient is used in the body's attempts to overcome the toxic effects of alcohol. Similarly, smokers have an increased need for vitamin C intake in order to combat the free radical damage associated with smoking.
The sustained release system used by Blackmores is based on a unique plant gum matrix, using guar gum from the seeds of a legume. The sustained release principle involves the leaching of vitamins and minerals from the tablet `core' as it passes through the gastrointestinal tract.
