Active Ingredients

Each sachet of movicol contains Macrogol 3350 13.125g, Sodium Chloride 350.7mg, Sodium Bicarbonate 178.5mg, Potassium chloride 46.6mg.

On reconstitution each sachet provides Sodium 65mmol/L, Chloride 53mmol/L, Bicarbonate 17mmol/L, Potassium 5.4mmol/L.

Dosage

The dose of Movicol for Constipation is 1 sachet dissolved in 125ml of water daily increasing to 2 to 3 sachets if necessary.

For Faecal impaction drink up to eight sachets per day.

Adverse Effects

Movicol may cause mild abdominal discomfort or diarrhoea in some individuals.

Warnings

Movicol is not suitable for children less than 12 years of age.

Drink plenty of water and increase the fibre in the diet.

Prolonged use of Laxatives is undesireable and may lead to dependence.

Do not use if Pregnant or Lactating unless under medical supervision
