Blackmores Echinacea Forte 3000 - 40 tablets

Echinacea relieves the symptoms of colds and mild infections of the respiratory tract.

Standardised potency, beta-1, 2-D-oligofructofuranosides 1.6mg per tablet.

High dose provides therapeutic action for the treatment of cold and flu.

Developed to replicate the recognised therapeutic dose of Echinacea purpurea as published in the German Commission E Monograph 1989.

   Echinacea has been extensively investigated and is known to have a variety of actions on the immune system, including elevation of serum white blood cell count (when numbers are low), promotion of non-specific T-cell activation (leading to a range of other activities including increased activity of natural killer cells and stimulating the release of interferon), enhancement of macrophage activity, as well as having antibacterial and antiviral properties.

This high dose product provides a therapeutic dose that is indicated for the relief of symptoms of infections, particularly those of the upper respiratory tract such as colds and flu.

Active Ingredients Per Tablet: Echinacea purpurea juice dry 66.7mg equiv. to fresh herb 3g (3000mg) (standardised to contain beta-1, 2-D-oligofructofuranosides 1.6mg).

Dosage

Adults - Take 2 tablets up to 3 times daily with meals, or as professionally prescribed.

Children - Only as professionally prescribed. For children under 12 years we recommend Blackmores Liquid Echinacea.

Adverse Effects

May occasionally cause mild gastrointestinal symptoms.
