Mullein [Respiratory] is known by many names, including Donkey s Ears, Bunny s Ears and Velvet Plant. Its high mucilage content and mild saponins make it a support for the respiratory system. Mucilage absorbs water in the windpipe and becomes slippery.
Traditionally used as a demulcent, expectorant herb in assisting respiratory conditions such as mucous and catarrhal build-up and irritation of the upper respiratory tract. It can also be taken as an aid to give up smoking. Part of the herb used is the Leaves.
A traditional "expectorant" herb to provide relief of lung congestion and coughs.
