The acid in the stomach must be of sufficient strength to break down food so it can be digested in the small intestine. Inadequate production of hydrochloric acid (HCl) is common, far more common than over acidity for which millions of antacids are prescribed yearly. The acidity of the food entering the intestine must also be sufficiently high to trigger the release of pancreatic enzymes that breakdown other food groups.

Supplemental betaine hydrochloride (hydrochloric acid) helps maintain healthy stomach acidity, which supports digestion and the breakdown of proteins. Pepsin, also included in this formula, is the primary enzyme in the stomach used to digest proteins.

This formula supports healthy digestion, in so doing it may help reduce symptoms of poor digestion which include indigestion, bloating, gas, flatulence, food allergy, bad breath, irregular bowel motility and signs of malnutrition.

Usage:Supports healthy gastric acidity and food digestion.

I had gut problems for years and the doctor always prescribed antacids which never worked. I self-diagnosed my symptoms online to find out that actually I wasn't producing enough acid and that these capsules should help. And boy do they... no more lying awake at night not being able to sleep due to bloating and gas and no more doubling over in pain. Just some simple acid in a capsule with each meal and life is good again. Who'd a thought!!
