Weleda Levisticum Comp Earache Relief oral Drops 30ml

Assists in the treatment, prevention and follow-up of earache (Otitis media), including glue-ear. This is an internal, oral medicine.

Used in conjunction with Levisticum Comp. Eardrops to treat chronic earache.

These internal drops are meant for longstanding conditions of increased mucous formation in the ear, which lead to inflammation, possible infection and in the long term, glue-ear. The Levisticum root, containing an essential oil, mucilage and a bitter principle, helps to dry up mucous formation in the ear. Echinacea gives a mild general stimulation to the immune system to help contain any infection. The Apis (honey-bee) is very warming and is used homoeopathically to reduce inflammation.

Rationale:

Apis mellifica - relieves stinging pain, soreness and inflammation in the ears

Echinacea angustifolia - immune stimulant

Levisticum - relieves earache inflammation

Levisticum Comp. and the Eardrops are usually given in six week periods, with a two week break in between. Some improvement is usually noticed in the first six week period, however continue giving the drops until the mucous has cleared.

Dosage

TAKE 5 DROPS (CHILD) OR 15 DROPS (ADULT) 3 TIMES DAILY AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE MEALS, or as directed by your practitioner. IN ACUTE CASES TAKE EVERY TWO HOURS.
