MICRONISED ZINC OXIDE

Zinc Oxide is a naturally occurring mineral which reflects damaging UVA and UVB rays by creating a physical barrier on the surface of the skin. This stops the rays from reaching the living tissues in your skin where they can then cause damage. We use micronised zinc oxide (not the smaller nanoparticle variety) as it is provides natural and effective sun protection without penetrating the outer layer of skin. Additionally, it blends well with other ingredients to create a nice non-greasy formulation, and does not leave a white film on the skin like many other SPF products.
