The Olive tree produces green to blue black fruit which yields an edible oil. Both the oil and the leaves of the olive tree are used medically. Olive leaf which has been used in medicine for centuries,and contains a wide range of useful constituents including oleuropein and other flavonoids, namely, rutin,apigenin and luteolin. Olive leaf is supportive for the immune system and the the cardiovascular system. it also provides support for the blood lipid system and possesses an antiseptic activity due to interference with amino acid production within the infecting cells.

  • It is not adviseable to use olive leaf in individuals with gall stones.
  • The normal dose of olive leaf is 250mg-500mg up to three times a day.
  • Olive leaf may also provide support to those who have intestinal worm infestations.
