Otrivin is useful to quickly to relieve blocked or runny nose symptoms caused by Colds, Flu, Sinusitis or Hayfever.

Otrivin is a sympathomimetic preparation which constricts the large veins in the nose which normally swell up with an infection or irritation.

Otrivin works quickly to relieve the symptoms of nasal congestion,but care should be taken not to use the product for continual periods in excess of 3 days to prevent the build-up of tolerance and eventual rebound congestion.

If you require longer term nasal decongestion you could Consider using Otrivin Clear Saline Nasal Spray or clinicians nasal clear spray.

Otrivin Junior contains Xylometazoline Hydrochloride 0.5mg/ml

Dosage

The dose of Otrivin Junior is 2-6 years: 1 spray per nostril, 6-12 years: 1 to 2 sprays per nostril. Use 2 to 3 times daily as required.

Do not use for longer than 3 days continuously.
